13th Balkan Congress of Nuclear Medicine
APRIL 2026
23-25
Sofia, Bulgaria
Dear Colleagues and Friends ,
As a part of our well established and fruitful tradition among Balkan Nuclear medicine societies, it is a pleasure and an honor for us to invite you to the regular Balkan Congress of Nuclear medicine which will be hosted by Bulgarian Society of Nuclear medicine in 2026.
Our specialty and our small piece of human healthcare proved vital with the years, providing solid fundaments as well as cutting edge technologies and methods for both diagnosis and treatment in the field of oncology, cardiology, endocrinology and virtually any field of human medicine. Nowadays we have the opportunity to practice our art in a multilayer environment, from first-in-human pilot studies to multicenter randomized trials which inevitably comes with the responsibility for being both innovators and evidence-based medicine supporters. All this comes with the need of wide high-end expertise – clinical, scientific, social – a task, hardly achievable by a sole person, sole group, sole society. Not a stand-alone discipline, Nuclear medicine paves its way as a part of multidisciplinary teams, clusters or networks, securing best practices and crucial innovations in patient care while gaining aspects and expertise from other specialties.
Balkan Nuclear medicine communities have done well together in sharing common scientific and social events, but what’s more important – sharing knowledge, sharing good practices, sharing methods, sharing expertise.
We warmly welcome you to the 13th Balkan congress of Nuclear medicine in Sofia, Bulgaria 2026, and hope to share your point of expertise and excellency within our societies as well as in interdisciplinary panels.
Hope to see you in Sofia 2026!

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pavel Bochev
President of the Society of Nuclear Medicine
